Vincent van Gogh’s “Irises,” painted in 1889, is an oil painting of vibrantly blooming irises with a cropped composition. It was painted at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole asylum in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, during the artist’s time there.
